Pulling the 80 body by yourself

A chain through the Ebrake hole and through the fuel tank inspection cover.  It was a little tippy but it was OK.

Nice  Smiley

Having pulled a 40 body off by myself...  that is not easy -- I would think that an 80 is 2x what a 40 is as well.

Are you just replacing or are you making a FJ45 like on IH8MUD?

I'm cutting the crap out of it and parting it out.  All of this work just to get some Elockers.  Cruiserman bought the motor, trannny, transfer.  He's putting them in his FJ25, that should be cool.  I found another one I'd love to buy to part the body out and keep the running gear for a 55 or 45 wagon.  However, I'm a little short cash.  My priorities are protection, 4.88s, tires (more agressive) wheels less backspacing, and a winch.  After that I'm free to explore other projects.  The 78 40 I have is begging me to do something with it.  I just haven't decided what.  It needs lots of TLC and $ and time.  My masters is done in June and then I will have more time and $ to play with a toy Cruiser.

you just built that house correct?  did you put a Beam in the top of the shop for a hoist?

May be easier to just pull it up then roll the body out from under...  a bit late but...  for the next one Smiley

Drywalled ceiling in the garage or the rafters would have been used.  In my old house I cut the ceiling in the garage to pull a motor once (Sami). This really wasn't too bad.  I pushed it down the drive and parked it behind the frame in the driveway yesterday afternoon.  All of my neighbors were gone and I wanted the car in the garage so I didn't have to scrap windows this AM.  If you look in the background you can see that my drywalling the walls is an incomplete project.  I'm hoping to get that done over the holidays too.
